Winter Parva, a traditional Cotswolds village is throwing a celebratory hog roast to mark the beginning of winter holiday festivities. But it turns out that the spit pig is in fact, Gary Beech, a policeman not much loved in the village. Agatha decides to investigate herself, when she finds out that her arch-rival in sleuthing has been hired by the victim's ex-wife. The 22nd "Agatha Raisin" mystery.
